Purcell Innovation Center & Remote Work

At the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year, we pivoted our former media center into a multi-purpose, flexible, open concept office for our students to work remotely and engage in professional development courses. The technology secure space includes a dedicated computer lab, technical training space, conference abilities, collaborative space. Two additional training classrooms were added in 2023.

The space itself can hold up to 100 students at a time, in addition to classroom seating:
• 30 computer lab stations
• 56 open concept desks
• High top collaborative seating
• 4 meeting rooms
• 2 open concept lounges

Remote Work Tasks & Responsibilities (click to expand):

Customer Service/Office Services

Answer phones and direct inquiries to designated departments
Organize and compile e-handbooks
Develop training manuals and documents for future CWSP students
Provide Spanish translation services
Review monthly legal revenue, legal expenses, and temp investment workpapers
Maintain office supplies by placing orders and evaluating new products
Transcribe and update outdated documents, manuals, and policies
Collect and organize data for reports and meetings
Review emails, images, and hyperlinks for form and functionality
Audit and rectify virtual receipts and expenses
Update telephone directory to update company directory
Create and manage Google forms/surveys

Research

Utilize LinkedIn platform to search for new client prospects
Research and inform departments on social media best practices
Conduct literature review on pertinent topics for team meetings
Review online educational resources and offer comments on content and user design from target audience (youth) perspective
Research responses to COVID-19 in various industries, travel, company policies, etc.
Analyze company market competitors

Data Management & Analysis

Marketing

Update frequently used materials such as marketing, sales, or HR organizational charts and templates
Create marketing collateral materials
Review and edit website content and links for accuracy and functionality
Analyze recorded dictations to interpret and transcribe content
Create, edit, and reformat PowerPoint presentations
Administer company social media platforms

Information Technology

Troubleshoot help desk requests
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks for security
Provide technical support across the company
Set up accounts for new users
Maintain records, logs of repairs, fixes, and maintenance schedule
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
Manage office inventory records
